Overview
The Multilink Controller establishes TDL networks over packet-based wide-area connections. The software operates as a multi-connection application router and interconnects multiple SIMPLE/JRE nodes so that they can exchange tactical data in a point-to-multipoint environment. It additionally processes and generates SIMPLE/JRE management messages.
A cascaded architecture using multiple Multilink Controllers subordinated to each other is possible. This setup uses connection lines more efficiently because all data from the local nodes is integrated into one data stream. The packet type implementation is based on Edition 3 of STANAG 5602 and MIL-STD-3011C.
Key capabilities
- Multi-connection application router interconnecting multiple SIMPLE/JRE nodes in a point-to-multipoint environment
- Processes and generates SIMPLE/JRE management messages
- Up to 30 connection channels (incoming or outgoing, TCP or UDP)
- Cascaded architecture with subordinated controllers for more efficient use of connection lines (integrates all local node data into one data stream)
- Accepts all user packets of STANAG 5602, especially Link 16, Link 11, Link 22
